WD Croup Electric is a family-owned-and-operated electrical contractor business based in Portersville, Pa. working across five states for over 50 years. 

   

   In the early 1970s, Dale Croup became an electrician and started to build his company now known as WD Croup Electric. Dale began by wiring small houses and businesses. He later named his company Dale Croup & Sons in 1990 when his two children joined him to expand the company.

   

   As it continued to progress, Dale Croup & Sons became Croup Electric LLC in 2001. That’s when Dale’s sons, Bill and Tim, began to take over the business. While continuing residential work, Croup Electric started to wire local gas stations and commercial facilities, with one of the earliest ones coming in 2005 at an American Eagle.

   

   The company is licensed in five states (Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio, Virginia, and North Carolina) to wire convenience stores such as Sheetz and Speedway. WD Croup Electric has successfully finished over 100 stores to date without missing one completion date.

   In early 2020, the company became WD Croup Electric LLC and is now in its third generation.
